Why hire an event/wedding planner? And what exactly do you do?

 

Drena: This is the number one question hundreds of clients boggle with after deciding to plan/host a big event. It is VERY DIFFICULT to truly enjoy an event when you are also responsible for the logistics. I’ve done it, it’s no fun, and you risk missing out on memorable moments of the day. As the client, your job is to show up and enjoy, nothing more, nothing less!

 

My responsibilities as your event planner range from planning and designing an entire event or wedding with minimal direction from a client (for the complete hands-off clients) to executing an event with specific granular details (some clients know exactly what they want).

 

I am the middle-man between you and your vendors.

I am the project manager who plans the logistics of every detail.

I am the neutral party between you and your guests.

 

I wear many hats that tap into my ability to make wise decisions quickly. 

What separates you from other event/wedding planners?

 

Drena: I’m glad you asked! I have an eye for detail, a passion for organization and a creative bone to bring your visions and ideas to life. Planning is truly a God-Given talent. I enjoy it, and it never feels like work. Planning events is satisfying to my soul because it stems from my desire to be of service to people.

 

In order to give each of my clients the time and attention they deserve, I only book a limited number of events per year. Taking on a limited number of events each year gives me the opportunity to give each client the focus and attention they ever so deserve.

What’s the first step in the process? Do I have to schedule a consultation? Can I receive a quote via email?

Drena: The first step begins with scheduling a complimentary consultation. Consultations are key! During the consultation we will discuss an array of topics to help both of us get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit for one another. Unfortunately, I don’t feel emails do justice. This is your time to ask as many questions as you may like; you want to be comfortable and have peace about me planning your event. While I would love to take on every client I meet, it is important that there is a genuine connection between us.

How far in advance should I book your services?

 

Drena: The sooner the better! I only take on a limited number of events each year as my schedule fills up fast.  Please contact me today at info@justdrena.com to discuss availability.

 

What are your fees?

 

Drena: My fees are reflective of only the services you need.  I truly believe each event is unique, and there is no “one size fits all” package. It is my goal to not only assist you in planning a great event but also ensure you stay within your desired budget. I like happy clients before, during, and after an event. What good is it to plan an extravagant event that breaks the budget and bank? After your initial consultation, you will receive a customized quote based on your needs and the services you would like.
